1. How can I access my email?

You can access your email in two ways: through an email application on your PC (e.g. Outlook Express); or online via your Web-mail (SquirrelMail).

Setting up an email application (e.g. Outlook Express)

  • Incoming Mail (POP3): www.domainname.com
  • Outgoing Mail (SMTP): This will be defined by your Internet access provider
  • Account Name: Your username
  • Password: Your password

Web-mail (SquirrelMail)
If your hosting account has Web-mail activated, you can access your email online through any browser. Enter your username and password at the log-in page:
Log-in: www.domainname.com/webmail

2. How do I create a new email account/User?

Each User that you add to your domain is automatically allocated a private email account. You can create up to 40 Users for your domain. To add a new User, first log-in to your site administration control panel:

Site administration: www.domainname.com/admin

  • Click on [Add User]
  • Allocate a Username (this will be used in the email address - e.g. "info" will create the email address "info@domainname.com")
  • Allocate a Fullname (For your identification purposes only)
  • Allocate a Password
  • Click on the [Add] button

3. What is an Alias and how do I set one up?

An Alias is an additional email address that is associated with a particular User. For example, in order for the User "sales" to also receive email that is sent to "agent@domainname.com", you would set up the Alias "agent", and attach it to the User "sales". To set up an Alias, first log-in to your site administration control panel:

Site administration: www.domainname.com/admin

  • Click on [Aliases]
  • Click on [Add An Alias]
  • Set an Alias name
  • Select the appropriate User from the drop-down "Forward To" list
  • Click on [Add Alias]

An Autoresponder is a message that is automatically sent back to the sender when an email is sent to a particular address. Autoresponders are allocated to email Aliases, so you must first set up an Alias. To set up an Autoresponder, first log-in to your site administration control panel:

Site administration: www.domainname.com/admin

  • Click on [Responders]
  • Click on [Add A Responder]
  • Select the appropriate Alias from the drop-down "Alias" list
