We are looking for a dynamic Junior 1st Line Support Desk Engineer to join our team at our operations centre in Manchester.
This is the ideal opportunity for a customer-focused IT professional with knowledge of networks and experience of supporting Linux or Windows OS looking to develop a career with a leading company.

You will be responsible for providing pivotal 1st line support to customers. You will ensure that issues and queries are resolved effectively and a high level of customer service is delivered at all times.
Working as an integral member of a dedicated and highly-skilled team, you will act as the first point of contact for customers regarding the setup and support of web hosting, dedicated servers and VMware cloud. You will also be tasked with seeing issues through to their successful completion and escalating issues when required.
Please note, as part of the role, you may be required to travel to our headquarters in Cheshire or secondary data centres.
To be considered, you must have:
You must have strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a keen eye for detail and superb problem solving abilities. Analytical and methodical, you must be highly organised with the desire to go the extra mile to ensure problems are resolved effectively.
VMware virtualisation and cloud experience would be beneficial to your application, as would experience of dealing with customers in a front line support capacity. An IT-related degree would also be an advantage.
