Meet the team
We’re human – get closer to our staff
Co-Founder and Director
Stephen has over 30 years of experience in commercial IT, working with Sun Microsystems, Silicon Graphics and IBM, before he embarked on his journey with 1st Easy in 1999.
Stephen’s message: “Customers that move to 1st Easy know they have made the right decision, they see the difference almost instantly and promote 1st Easy to others. We don’t fill our web site and Google with marketing claims and garbage, such as being ‘one of the only UK owned hosting providers left in the industry’, choosing instead to invest our time, money and effort in new innovations and our important life blood, our clients.”
Talk with Stephen:
Unlike some companies that claim to ‘love Manchester’, you can actually pick up the phone and speak to Stephen. Alternatively, you can email him directly: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Co-Founder and Director of Quality
Prior to life at 1st Easy, Vivien built up 20 years of experience in recruitment and purchasing, where she was responsible for managing multi-million pound budgets for the Employment Department HQ.
Vivien’s message: “Viv puts this practical knowledge to good use in her role as Director of Quality at 1st Easy, where she uses her invaluable organisational skills to manage the office, maintains our ISO certifications and keep the rest of the team in shape. Vivien wouldn’t be proud of recommendation rates in the 70% region, she aims for perfection and achieves it – 100% in 2013’s ISO survey.”
Talk with Viv:
Unless you’ve been good, Viv will probably contact you to help you pay your invoice before you get the chance to call her. If you’d like to get into her good books, send an email to: email@example.com.
Fred brings considerable value and energy to 1st Easy by providing strategic insight and continually challenging our team to look for new ways of improving our business.
Fred has a stellar reputation as a business coach and mentor, and uses his commercial acumen and enviable network of business contacts to improve the financial outlook of organisations and formulate successful future business strategies.

James joined 1st Easy as their first employee in 2000, when he decided to put his Geography degree to excellent practical use by becoming a web designer and technical support trainee.
He now works as Marketing Manager, where he uses his first-hand experience of customer requirements and business needs to put across the values and benefits of 1st Easy hosting. James also works with customers to find out how and where the company can improve.
Talk with James:
You can contact James via his direct email address: email@example.com.
Since he joined 1st Easy in 2004, Peter’s responsibilities have included the management of billing and maintaining the financial health of 1st Easy.
Such is his mastery of Microsoft PowerPoint, Peter’s annual business performance review presentations are an eagerly anticipated office highlight.
Talk with Pete:
Technical Support Manager
Dan heads up our technical support team, where he’s responsible for ensuring the smooth delivery and development of our hosting services.
Apart from being known for his addiction to the local delicacy of oatcakes, Dan is often the leading (i.e. the only) scorer for the so-called 7-a-side football team that several of the 1st Easy staff play for.
Talk with Dan:
Cloud Support Engineer (VMware CP 5)
The office feels a much safer place since Dean joined us, as he has achieved the highest award possible as a Cadet with St John Ambulance — recognition that led to a brush with Royalty at Buckingham palace!
Aside from his exemplary first aid skills, Dean is a dab hand with applied network management, and works with the team to keep things running smoothly for our customers. He’s also got the most cloud badges (which amply qualifies him to conduct our free cloud data centre tutorials).

Technical Support Engineer
Although Chris is new to our team, he’s settling in quickly — wisely and instantly ingratiating himself to our ranks by taking it upon himself to slot into the brew rota with the rest of us.
Notably, Chris enjoys a good Starbar, preferably while watching a vintage episode of Red Dwarf, or perhaps Arrow or maybe even Constantine. Did we mention he likes Starbars?
